Bacolod Councilor Cindy Rojas, chairman of the Sangghuniang Panlungsod Committee on Health, will hold a hearing on Monday on the request of the mayor to grant hazard pay and special risk allowance to city personnel involved in frontline and other essential services during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) relative to the COVID-19 pandemic.
These personnel include the regular employees, job order workers, and contractual employees.
On Wednesday, Mayor Evelio Leonardia sent a request to the SP for the passage of a resolution granting hazard pay and special risk allowance during the implementation of ECQ relaltive to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Sources of funds will be taken from savings from vacant positions from January 1 to May 31.
City Budget Officer Ma. Imelda Williams said that, based on the availability of funds of the city government, each of the qualified personnel will receive a hazard pay of P350 per day for the given number of days actually rendered during the 47-day period.
Meanwhile, each of the qualified personnel will receive a one-time special risk allowance, equivalent to a maximum of 25 percent of their monthly basic pay, Williams said.*
