
The first game featured Heineken against Tanduay Ice, where the former enjoyed a solid start, building a 26-20 lead in the first quarter. Heineken were able to steadily build the lead in the second frame and entered halftime up by seven points.
Cris Pascua sizzled in the third, scoring 9 points in the quarter to extend their lead to ten points, 71-61, heading into the final 10 minutes.
Tanduay Ice couldn’t keep up the pace in the fourth, allowing Heineken to charge to their win with a final score of 98-84. Jeremy Coo finished the game with 28 points and grabbed the player of the game honors for Heineken.
Bryan Coo had 17 points while Cesar Tan tallied 12 points. On the distaff side, Carlo Chu led Tanduay Ice with 29 points, Marc Jalapa recorded 17, while Yanyan Muyco tallied 12.
The other game between Cobra Energy Drink and Tiger Black started as a tight battle in the first quarter, with the latter holding a slim two point lead at the end. The former came out with a different attitude in the second, outscoring the Tiger Black by eight to lead by 6 points going into the second half.
Cobra Energy Drink continued the momentum into the third quarter, leading by 9 points going into the final 10 minutes of the game, 67-58. The Blacks turned hot and battled back in the fourth, but the Cobras managed to hold on until the end to earn their second win of the conference with a score of 88-83.
Nike Montalvo led the Cobra Energy Drink with 30 points, Oda Tampus added 15 points, along with player of the game honors, while Alvan Rodriguez chipped in 10 points. Edgar Agana led the Tiger Black with 20 points, Julius Teruel had 16, while Christopher Teodosio delivered 15 points.*
