Vicky Gasper, a practicing landscape visual artist, opened her second solo exhibit at Gallerie G, Villa Geronca Building, at Rosario-Amapola streets, Bacolod City on August 24 and will run until the end of September.
Titled “Heliophile” or love for the sun, the show features about 20 of Gasper’s recent works of sunrise and sunsets in oil paint.
Gasper is a self-taught artist who enjoys most of her time with nature, capturing its unfading beauty on her canvas. Her every piece is an invitation to a wonderful reconnection with Mother Nature. She believes that painting is an art of giving life to a lifeless canvas and above all, an extraordinary encounter with the Great Master.
She is currently an active member of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros (AAB-N) and a resident artist of Artfull Gallery. As an art advocate, she selflessly conducts free workshops in remote areas of Negros Island to continuously inspire the younger generation in cultivating their passion in art.
Gasper is a licensed professional teacher and completed her TESDA training in Visual Graphic Design NC III in 2016.*
