The Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit seized approximately P612,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high-value individual (HVI) in Barangay 10, Bacolod City, on Sunday.
The operation, which took place at approximately 4:31 a.m. in Purok Tambi-Palad, Barangay 10, resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old male identified only by the alias ‘Pol.’
Operatives recovered approximately 90 grams of suspected shabu during the arrest.
The suspect is currently facing serious charges for the violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In a statement, the Bacolod City Police Office reiterated its commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations in line with the national campaign.
