Himamaylan City Hall on indefinite lockdown; its police tops performance evaluation rating

          The Himamaylan City Hall has been placed on lockdown effective yesterday, pending the release of the RT-PCR test results of two employees assigned at the offices of the Mayor and the City Treasurer.

          Mayor Raymund Tongson, in an advisory on his Facebook account, advised employees, especially those who got their salary from the City Treasurer’s Office, and those who visited the City Mayor’s Office, to undergo quarantine.

          The indefinite closure of the Himamaylan City Hall will pave the way for its disinfection and decontamination.

          Tongson also enjoined those who attended the meeting at the Himaya Hall at the 3rd floor of City Hall to undergo quarantine, and appealed for the cooperation of Himamaylanons in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

          The Kabankalan City Hall is also on lockdown until Nov. 25, after 18 of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019.

          Meanwhile, the Himamaylan City Police Station bested 30 other town and city police stations of Negros Occidental, excluding Bacolod City, in the Performance Evaluation Rating for the month of October.

          Headed by P/Maj. Romeo Vargas, the Himamaylan City Police Station garnered an average of 93.15 percent, both in operational and administrative aspects.

          The Sagay City Police Station, led by P/Maj. Albert Sy, got 92.71 percent, while the La Carlota CPS, headed by Lt. Col. Jonel Guadalope, ranked third, with an average of 92.10 percent.

          Among the 19 municipal police stations, the Moises Padilla PS ranked first with 91.92 percent, followed by Cauayan PS – 91.60 percent, and Valladolid PS – 91.40 percent.

          The Salvador Benedicto Police Station got the lowest ranking among the 31 Negros Occidental police stations, with an average of 87.67 percent.

          The Negros Occidental 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company recorded an average of 93.65 percent, compared to the 93.51 percent of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company.*GPB
