The Panaad sa Negros 2025 Folk Dance Competition was held at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City Wednesday.
Himamaylan City dancers were declared champions in this year’s Panaad Folk Dance Competition (western category) in their dance performance “Sampaguita”.
The cities of Kabankalan and Victorias were awarded first and second runners-up respectively. Seventeen LGUs competed in the Western category.
Meanwhile, dancers from Silay City who performed “Gumonhap” were declared the champion in the Folk Dance Competition (rural category), beating eight other participants.
The first runner-up was awarded to the Municipality of Binalbagan and second runner-up was the Municipality of Murcia.*
