Hinigaran youth outreach activity set

The officers and advisers of the Youth, Music, Progress, a youth organization in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental*

The Youth, Music, Progress (YMP), a youth organization based in Barangay Aranda in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, will hold an outreach activity dubbed “Padayon” at Sitio Katilingban, Brgy. Himaya in the municipality on September 25.

Themed “Ending Hunger and Enriching Life,” the activity will include distribution of school supplies and used clothes, feeding program, giving of vitamins for the children, and distribution of two kilos of rice, as well as the conduct of a street classroom.

There will also be a talk about the importance of education and the role of the youth in the community.

The event is in partnership with the Punta Tagda Youth Organization, Kabug Syco 2022, Skimboarding, Aranda Youth Assembly, Sitio Lugway Youth Organization, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Hinigaran, Brgy. Himaya Council, SK Council of Brgy. Himaya, Mary Help of Christians Quasi-Parish Youth Organization and Brgy. Aranda Council.

YMP is headed by Raymond Mar Pescadera as chairman and Renato Tornea Jr., co-chairman. Officers are Ronna Mary Gavileno, president; Reniel Dave Gayosa, vice president; Maybelle Lyn Linas, secretary; Wenzel Joshua Garcia, assistant secretary; Leonard Lubrico, treasurer; Renier Tejada, assistant treasurer; Elmer Divinagracia, auditor; and Boy Tagnong, public information officer.

The group’s advisers were Leonila Malino, Leah Temporosa, Jonabelle Rose Linas, Pastor Geome Gutierrez, Hinigaran Councilor Hadji Trojillo, Benjamin Buga-ay Jr., Narauis Brgy. Capt. Hadry Morancil, and Gargato Brgy. Kagawad Lourdes Pacto.

YMP is a non-government organization which focuses on the reawakening of youth, using music as a tool for self-growth and for the progress of the community.

YMP started in December 2018 and is now fully-accredited organization by the Municipality of Hinigaran.*
