Riverside Medical Center Inc. has released an advisory alerting the public on the circulation of fraudulent medical abstracts, prescriptions, and other hospital documents falsely claiming to be from their institution.
The hospital clarified yesterday that the unauthorized documents are often used for illegal, unethical, or misleading purposes.
In a statement, they warned that the use or acceptance of such fraudulent records could result in severe medical and legal consequences for the parties involved.
The hospital urged the public to report suspicious documents or seek verification through the hospital’s official channels only.
“When in doubt, please always confirm your sources,” it said.*
