CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING. Park Inn general manager Sherwin Lucas and Carmeli Bantug Zayco led the Christmas lighting ceremony at the Marapara Plaza Thursday as they celebrate Thanksgiving following the opening of the one-man art exhibition of Negrense watercolorist Edbon Sevilleno at the hotel’s Art Cove  titled “Shapes, Shades & Scapes”*

Park Inn general manager Sherwin Lucas led the hotel’s Christmas Tree lighting ceremony Thursday together with Carmeli Bantug Zayco, representing Mayor Albee Benitez, as a celebration of Thanksgiving for its first year anniversary since its grand opening in Bacolod City last year.

“Tonight is an evening of celebrations. Celebration since it has been a year since we officially launched the first international hotel in the City of Smiles,” Lucas said during a program at the hotel’s Marapara Plaza.

They are also celebrating the opening of another brilliant art showcase, this time by Edbon Sevilleno, giving a novel dimension to their Art Cove, he said adding that “Today is also Thanksgiving Day, and I am sure we have many things to be grateful for.”

Lucas said they also dedicate the occasion to their team members, patrons, and friends.

“Hence, we dedicate today’s occasion to you, the people who followed and supported our journey to becoming the Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod that we are today,” he said.

“Christmas, especially to us Filipinos, isn’t just a holiday. It’s a season of reminiscing the vibrant colors of our youth and rediscovering the sentiments of our hearts – and for us, it’s gratefulness. It is a season of looking forward to the future with hope and optimism,” Lucas added.*
