A city within the City of Smiles will soon rise as TRYP by Wyndham Bacolod officially held its groundbreaking ceremony on its flagship township project Saludad, yesterday, March 4.
The ceremony was led by PHINMA Hospitality Inc. Chairman and CEO Jose Mari del Rosario, PHINMA chief township officer Paolo Reyes, and Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya.
The milestone marks the third entry of a TRYP by Wyndham property in the country, following Mall of Asia – Manila and Samal Island.
Developed under the Philippine master franchise holder PHINMA Hospitality Inc. via a joint venture agreement with the JEPP Real Estate Co. Inc., the project will combine international lifestyle hotel experience and Bacolod’s heritage.
“We recognized that Bacolod’s growth economic activity and strong regional identity on increasing demand for elevated accommodation presents a timely opportunity for a lifestyle driven hotel concept, and that is exactly what we intend to bring with TRYP by Wyndham Bacolod,” del Rosario said.
The hotel, with construction targeted to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2028, is set to become a landmark within the 21-hectare Saludad township located along Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road in Barangay Bata.
“This land has always meant more than a property, it has been part of our history, our work and responsibility for generations, we’ve seen this land to its uses, from farmland to a future township and hospitality hub, today, it is entering a new chapter transforming to a place that will welcome more people, create opportunities, and contribute to Bacolod’s future,” JEPP Real Estate Co. Inc. President Pia Dolores Dabao said.*
