A human skeletal remains were discovered at a sugarcane plantation in Sitio Ubay, Barangay Guinpanaan, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday.
Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station said the remains were later identified as Teodoro Mayagma, 75, who had been reported missing by family members since November 6, 2025.
The victim’s son positively identified the remains through the clothing and distinct dental features left at the scene.
Following the identification, the Moises Padilla police ensured a proper investigation was conducted while extending necessary assistance to the bereaved family.
On May 17, the Moises Padilla Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also recovered skeletal remains from a different sugarcane field in Hda. Jocson, Magallon Cadre.*
