The intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) continues as the City Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended a High-Value Individual (HVI) in a buy-bust operation conducted in Purok San Roque 1, Barangay Handumanan at roughly 10 p.m. on October 14.
Authorities seized the suspect identified as alias “Philip,” 33, along with 60 grams of suspected shabu, valued at an estimated P408,000.00, and transaction money and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is being prepared for filing of charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).
BCPO emphasized that this successful operation demonstrates the police force’s unwavering dedication to curbing illegal drugs in the city.
For the first two weeks of October, the BCPO conducted a total of 20 drug bust operations and recovered approximately 1,340 grams worth of suspected shabu valued at P9,114,271.
Thirty-one drug personalities were so far arrested, as well as 14 wanted persons.*
