• THERESA MAE DULMAN

A suspected high-value drug individual was arrested by police after yielding around 200 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,360,000 during a targeted buy-bust operation in Barangay 2, Bacolod City, late Wednesday evening.

The suspect, identified by Bacolod Police Station 2 as 26-year-old alias ‘Shainna,’ an unemployed resident of the area, was apprehended at around 9:28 p.m. in Purok Sigay.

Authorities recovered one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu used as the buy-bust item, alongside four knot-tied transparent bags and four additional heat-sealed plastic sachets containing the illegal substance.

Also confiscated a black sling bag containing the contraband and the P12,000 buy-bust money used in the sting.

The suspect is currently held at Bacolod Police Station 2 and is facing formal charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
