Adrian Nacario from Iloilo city outpowered more than 250 cyclists in the MassKara MTB XCO Race 2025 on Sunday at the Manggahan Playground in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City.

Nacario, representing Team Go For Gold, topped the open category and received P15,000 top prize and a championship trophy.

Meanwhile, Aldren Alom Alojado from Bago City, representing KambyaDos Racing Team, and Thirdy Mana-ay from Iloilo City placed as first and second runners-up, respectively.

Other categories also hailed their respective champions. Notably, the event highlighted the LGBTQIA+ category which was said to be the only sport to include the community in this year’s MassKaralympics.

The category was dominated by Mosiah Baldonado, who outpedaled other contenders. Along Baldonado were JM Monaya and Ronald Gape rounding out the podium as the runners-up.

The mountain bike race event was organized by a local MTB team, KambyaDos Racing Team in partnership with the City of Bacolod and the Bacolod Gugma Foundation Inc.

Tournament Director and KambyaDos Founder Mark Anthony Nicavera said that the competition reflects the growing cycling community in the city and in the region.

“It’s our joy and mission at KD Racing Team to give riders the best racing experience and bring happiness through sports,” he said, welcoming numbers of cyclists across the neighboring regions who joined the race.

The race was among the highlight events of the MassKaralympics, a sporting event held as part of the celebrations of the 46th MassKara Festival.*
