Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez will be meeting with consultants today concerning the improvement of the lighting facilities at the Bacolod City Public Plaza.
During a press conference yesterday, Benitez said these consultants will take a look at the plaza to see if they have suggestions to improve its lighting facilities, as well as the areas surrounding it, which may include the Halandumun Tower along Gatuslao-Gonzaga streets.
He has observed in the plaza of other cities, that if the lighting facilities are good, this could really help improve its overall appearance, he said.
Meanwhile, Benitez said he also plans to talk to the Diocese of Bacolod if it would be possible for the city to manage the Church property at the plaza instead of having them rent out to RTW stalls.*
