A 45-year-old Indian national was reported by the police to have been found dead on Monday, at his residence in Brgy. 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The victim identified by the police as Sukhwinder Singh, an Indian national, was unconscious and no longer breathing, based on the claims of a Mrs. Melona, who went to his house and found Singh lying on his bed, unresponsive to her call. She immediately reported it to the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office of San Carlos City.

CDRRMO paramedics tried to revive Singh, but to no avail.

The cadaver of Singh has been recommended by the police to be subjected to autopsy to determine the cause of death.

On the other hand, a 38-year-old man identified as Richard Paborada drowned on April 9 at Sitio Sadlom in Brgy. Camindangan, Sipalay City, police said.

Police investigation showed that the victim went for a swim in a river near his residence, before he was reported to have drowned.

His cousin, John Paul Valespin, told the police Paborada drowned after getting stuck in rocks.

According to the police, the victim was declared dead on arrival at the Sipalay City infirmary.*
