Global mobility and urban services platform inDrive formally established its physical presence in Negros Occidental yesterday with the opening of a dedicated Driver Centre located along Burgos Extension in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.
The facility is intended to serve as a hub for driver support, onboarding, and community engagement as the city continues to develop as a regional commercial center.
Vanessa Taqueban, inDrive Philippines Driver Operations Lead, noted that the hub will allow the company to more effectively address the specific transport challenges found within the city.
“Being present in Bacolod allows us to better understand the day-to-day transport challenges faced by both drivers and passengers,” Taqueban said.
A central feature of the company’s operations in the local market is the implementation of a 10 percent commission rate, which is among the lowest currently available in the Philippine ride-hailing industry, allowing partner drivers to retain 90 percent of their earnings.
According to company data, the active passenger base in Bacolod has increased by 30 percent since 2024, while the number of completed rides has grown by 127 percent compared to the previous year.
The platform supports various transport needs in the city, ranging from short neighborhood trips to longer commutes connecting residential areas with business districts.
“We want to ensure that as Bacolod moves forward, its residents have access to a mobility partner that truly listens and empowers,” inDrive Philippines Country Representative Sofia Guinto said.*
