The Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital (ILASMDH) in Isabela, Negros Occidental received a donation certificate worth P2.5 million from the Next Generation Advocate Foundation PH, Inc., in the form of medical equipment, computer desktops and instruments.
Former President turned Deputy House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Dina Arroyo Tantoco, daughter of the late Rep. Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo, led the signing of donation, witnessed by former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo and his sister, former Rep. Marilou Arroyo, along with 5th district Rep. Emilio Dino Yulo and Isabela Mayor Irene Montilla.
The Next Generation Advocacy Foundation was organized during the presidential campaign of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. with Princess Go as president and Tantoco as among the members.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson thanked the Next Gen for the donation of hospital equipment and computers, as he also lauded the Arroyo family for their consistent contributions to the advancement of ILASMDH through the years.
Your unfailing support is of great help in our efforts to bridge the gaps in our hospital services, Lacson added.
He recalled that ILASMDH started as a mini private puericulture center which has grown to be a vital facility of the province, catering to thousands of patients, particularly indigents.
Now, the hospital has been exceeding its bed capacity due to the volume of admissions, Lacson said, expressing his gratefulness to the foundation and Arroyo family.
Tantoco said that the 5th district is very close to their hearts, stressing also “it’s good to give back as the people of the district have always a place in our hearts.”*
