An art exhibit featuring the works of Negrense artist Anthony Fermin and several celebrated artists opened at Charlie’s Art Gallery at Italia Restaurant, Paseo Verde, Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City Wednesday, and will run for two weeks.
Titled “An Art Exposition with the Masters”, the exhibition places Ferin’s artistry in dialogue with the works of esteemed Filipino Modern Masters, offering a rare opportunity to experience the breath and evolution of Philippine visual expression. Featuring pieces from celebrated artists such as Ramon Orlina, Angelito Antonio, Romeo Tabuena, Gus Albor, Lao Lianben, Isidro Ancheta, Araceli Dans, Manny Garibay, Aguilar Alcuaz, and Jose Joya, the collection highlights the shared yet distinct voices that have shaped the nation’s artistic identity.

Fermin’s art is a celebration of faith, transformation, and the Filipino spirit. Inspired by prayer and a deep sense of gratitude, his works reflect a journey of renewal – where struggles are met with hope, and negativity is replaced with joy.
In this latest series, Fermin explores graffiti-like concepts, depicting people actively erasing the “bad” in their lives to make way for the good. Through vibrant colors and expressive forms, he captures the resilience and optimism that define his artistic vision.
Guests of honor at the opening of his show, which was also a celebration of his birthday, were Pulupandan Vice Mayor Gerany Suatengco, Jacquiline Zayco, and Katrina Ureta.*
