Bringing the City of Smiles a sweetness like no other, J.CO Donuts and Coffee held its branch blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the North Wing, SM City Bacolod on Thursday.
Aiming to reach more Bacolod markets, J.CO strives to be a pastry store that highlights pro-Philippine flavors.
Rev. Fr. Chad Gayares led the branch blessing, offering well wishes for a successful business venture that serves Bacolodnons.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Josan Carandang, Operations Manager; Erickson Delica, Training Officer; Gazelle Llanita, Area Manager; and Jericho Eva, Assistant Marketing Manager— all enthusiastic about J.CO’s first-ever branch in Bacolod City.

It was followed by MassKara Festival dancers who warmly welcomed J.CO with a lively and festive performance, showcasing Bacolod’s rich talent.
Carandang shared a brief history of J.CO, which first opened on June 26, 2005, in Indonesia and later expanded to the Philippines on March 12, 2012.
A coffee demonstration was presented by Delica, who shared that J.CO uses Indonesian beans for its espresso and coffee products.
“Bacoleños, we are now here in your province, and we want to bring fun with our fresh, warm, and less-sweet donuts that you can enjoy,” Delica exclaimed.

He also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Bacolodnons and their enthusiasm for the sweet treats J.CO offers.
“We actually created a Napoleones-flavored donut, exclusive to Bacolod. We want to introduce something new that locals can relate to,” he added.
The Napoleones Crumble is a donut filled with custard cream, dipped in white chocolate, and topped with custard and cashew crumbs.
Serving Negrenses delectable treats and rich, aromatic coffee, J.CO opened yesterday, February 14.*
