Jules and Ginggo shoot fest winners named

The San Carlos City government with former Negros Occidental 1st District Rep. Julio Ledesma IV and Rep. Gerardo Valmayor Jr. held the 11th Jules and Ginggo Shoot Fest (All Steel Shoot Out) on November 12 at Brgy. Palampas Firing Range, in the city.

A total of 46 shooters from different places, including the cities of San Carlos, Dumaguete, Bacolod, Silay, Cadiz, and the municipalities of La Castellana and Binalbagan participated in the competition.

Categories for the event include pistols division for Classic, Standard, Production, PCC-Pistol Caliber Carbine (9mm and 45 PCP) and 5 stages with 6 categories for Civilian, Lawman, Lady, Senior, Mega Senior, and LGU with minimum of 70 rounds.

Winners in the Classic category were Bebot Empleo, champion; Bingkoy Mariano, first runner-up; and Mark Anthony Aguirre, second runner-up. In the Classic Mega Senior, Vanilly Abugan was the champion, while in Classic LGU, the champion was Henjie Dela Victoria and first runner-up, Christopher Paul Carmona.

In the Standard category, the champion was Adonis Rosales; first runner-up, Al Roma and second runner-up, Alan Supe. In the Standard Senior, the winners were Rene Gustilo, champion; and Melchor Zapanta, first runner-up; while in the Standard LGU, the champion was Ramil Ravello and JC Solidarois, first runner-up.

In the Production, the winners were Renbert Gustilo, champion; Tony Consing, first runner-up; and Martin Juson, second runner-up; in the Production Lawman – PMSg Gener Panganoron, champion; Joemarie Delima, first runner-up; and Joven Terante, second runner-up. In the Production Lady, Sharon Juance was the champion, while in the Production Senior, the champion is Al Espino. Jun Palo was the champion in the Pistol Caliber Carbine.

Mayor Renato Gustilo congratulated and thanked all the participants of the event and looked forward to having more guests in the upcoming shooting competition on December 18.

The event is also in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Mayor, Sangguniang Panlungsod, Vice Governor of the Province of Negros Occidental, House of Representative Philippines, Tourism Promotion and Cultural Affairs, San Carlos City Gun Association, and San Carlos City Police Station.

Also present during the event were Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona; councilors Benito Gustilo Jr., Mark Cui, Wilmer Yap, and Jeffrey Hidalgo; and executive assistants Aireen Rose Gustilo, Renbert Ceasar Gustilo, Kristoff Carmona; and Jose Miguel Valmayor.*
