With a strong commitment to expanding support for sectors in the minority, the City Government of Kabankalan has released the honorarium for Balik-Pagtudlo Volunteers in the community and is set to provide assistance to tricycle drivers and operators.
The city reaffirmed its commitment to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) through the release of honoraria to volunteer teachers on January 30.
A total of 21 Balik-Pagtudlo Volunteers received P6,000 each as honorarium, covering the months of October to December 2025.
The release recognizes the contributions of retired professionals who continue to serve the community by providing guidance, mentoring, and information sessions to 4Ps beneficiaries.
Mayor Benjie Miranda, in his message, expressed his gratitude to the volunteers for their dedication and selfless service.
“I am truly thankful for this initiative and for the collective efforts of our Balik-Pagtudlo Volunteers, because of the significant help they provide in enhancing the understanding of our 4Ps beneficiaries on various topics, issues, and community concerns. This honorarium may be modest, but its return to our community is invaluable,” he said.
The Balik-Pagtudlo Program, supported by the city government of Kabankalan, complements the objectives of the 4Ps by strengthening family development sessions through the expertise and life experiences of retired professionals.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook Live, Miranda announced that possibly by next week, qualified tricycle drivers and operators will receive assistance from the city.
The mayor disclosed that 2,215 qualified beneficiaries will receive P1,000 in cash assistance. This support aims to expand the city’s assistance to drivers who play a vital role in public transportation.
Miranda has already signed the payroll summary for the beneficiaries, amounting to P2,215,000.*
