A barangay kagawad is now in hot water after he was arrested for having suspected shabu in his possession, on July 24, inside the compound of a sugar milling company in Barangay 16, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
The 33-year-old barangay kagawad, who is also an outsourced worker of Victorias Milling Company, was intercepted by a security guard of VMC, for having in his possession 14 sachets of suspected shabu, and an improvised tooter with shabu residue, while on his way to work, according to the police.
The confiscated illegal drugs recovered from the barangay kagawad, whose identity was withheld by the police, has an estimated market value of P3,400.
He was turned over by the VMC security forces to the Victorias City Police Station.
On the other hand, the police also seized a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition and about 5.4 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P36,720, from a drug suspect who was arrested on Wednesday in Brgy. Sicaba, Cadiz City.*
