A barangay kagawad was reported by the police to have been shot and killed Wednesday night, along the highway of Brgy. San Jose in EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.
The victim was identified by the police as Ian Negrido, a 41-year-old kagawad of Brgy. San Jose in EB Magalona.
Initial police investigations showed that Negrido, was riding his motorcycle when he was shot by still unidentified suspects.
Based on witness accounts, six gunshots were heard from the highway, where the victim was found to have been shot, police investigations further showed.
Negrido was reported by the EB Magalona police, to have been declared dead on arrival at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.
The suspects reportedly on board a vehicle without a plate number.*
