Twenty-two established and emerging Negrense visual artists launched an intercultural art exhibition with a cause, at L’Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City Saturday.
Leading the opening was Provincial Council for Women in Negros Occidental chairperson Andrea Lizares-Si, assisted by Art Association of Bacolod-Negros past presidents Dolly Gatuslao and Sony Golez, and Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry (ABWCI) country president Phoebe David.
Titled “Kaleidoscope,” the show was organized by the ABWCI thru its country president Phoebe David and Sandy Solinap, member owner and curator of Verdera Art Gallery.
Also present during the exhibit, which will run until October 14, were Board Member Rita Gatuslao, Raymund Alunan of the Neg. Occ. Tourism Office, and Jojie Locsin, owner of Tumandoc Crafts.
The participating artists are Sony Golez, Annette Feria, Mary Ann Colmenares, Beth Puey, Dolly Gatuslao, Princy Martir, Rose Jemino, Dynalyn Tan, Ma. Katrina Gallo, Jenevieve Abeto, Cora Soriano, Marj Masangkay, Patty Jane Ong, Mei Lonasco, Loraine Lorenzo, Chin Guanzon, and Chrysee Samillano.
Guest artists are Rodney Martinez, John Ryan Locsin, Noel Martinez, Revo Yanson, Marlon Domino, and Nepali artist Shivangini Rana.
The Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry is a virtual global Chamber of Commerce for women.
Its membership comprises the most prominent women entrepreneurs, women organizations, educational institutions, and companies investing in women.
