The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported logging 13 ash emission episodes during the weekend, with produced plumes that rose to as high as 600 meters above the summit of Kanlaon volcano.
The ashing events lasted from two minutes, to one hour and five minutes, according to PHIVOLCS.
Kanlaon volcano remains on Alert Level 2, or increased unrest.
Since October 19, the Kanlaon Volcano Network has recorded 55 ash emission episodes.
According to an advisory, PHIVOLCS recorded three volcanic quakes in the past 24 hours, and logged the emission of 7,082 tons of sulfur dioxide on November 16.
Meanwhile, the Coast Guard Northern Negros District has ordered the temporary suspension of boat trips from Bacolod City to Manila, due to storm signals.*
