The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded three more ash emission events at Kanlaon Volcano on Easter Sunday.
The first ash emission started at 1:10 p.m. followed by another at 3:10 p.m. and then 5:09 p.m., with the events generating grayish plumes that rose 350 to 1,200 meters above the summit crater.
Alert Level 2 still prevails over Kanlaon Volcano, according to PHIVOLCS.
Due to continuing ash emission activities of Kanlaon Volcano, the Office of Civil Defense reminded affected communities of to be wary of ashfall.
PHIVOLCS also logged four ash emission events at Kanlaon Volcano on March, 25, 26, 27 and 30.*
