GMA Regional TV celebrated the return of Bacolod City’s world-famous MassKara Festival by bringing in four GMA Sparkle artists via a Kapuso Fans Day at SM City Bacolod yesterday.
Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid expressed their excitement to be part of the festival and the opportunity to thank Negrense viewers who have been supporting their shows.
They also love Bacolod’s chicken inasal and napoleones, they said during a press conference.
Derrick and Elle are the lead stars of the GMA afternoon prime series “Return to Paradise”, while Ruru is one of the cast members of the hit reality game show 2022 “Running Man Philippines” and Bianca is an “All-Out Sundays'” mainstay.
Running Man, the most globally successful South Korean reality-game show is known for its outrageous missions – a series of wacky games and exciting races held in different locations with runners competing to gain advantages in its final mission, the signature Nametag Race.
Meanwhile, “Return to Paradise”, which marked its world premiere on GMA-7 on August 1, revolves around Eden (Elle) and Red (Derrick), college students and athletes who are marooned on an island after a plane crash.
When the two were rescued, they found out that their parents have irreconcilable feud which will tear them apart. The series also showcases the majestic and pristine island of Jomalig in Quezon as one of its locations.*
