Third District Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko got the highest number of votes among 12 elected members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental during the May 9 elections.
Ko, who was re-elected as board member, garnered 140,400 votes, followed by another 3rd district Board Member Andrew Montelibano, Jeffrey Tubola (6th district) – 115,630 votes, Rommel Debulgado (1st district) – 106,921, Jose Benito Alonso (4th district)- 101,271;
Valentino Miguel Alonso (6th district) – 96,102, Andrew Martin Torres (4th district) – 88,379, Rita Gatuslao (5th district), 87,199, Araceli Somosa (1st district) – 83,810;
Sixto Pal Guanzon (2nd district) – 81,166; Samson Mirhan (2nd district) – 76,100, and Anton Occeno (5th district) – 65,079, SP records show.
The computation was based on number of votes garnered, divided by number of registered voters, according to the SP.
The three ex-officio board members are Ryan Gamboa, representing the Philippine Councilor’s League- Negros Occidental, Juvy Pepello of the Liga ng mga Barangay and Pocholo Yuvienco of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation.
The SP presiding officer Jeffrey Ferrer was also re-elected to his second term as vice governor of Negros Occidental.*
