The Negrense Artists, Inc. opened a group art exhibit titled “La Bella Momma” or “Beautiful Mother,” on May 13 at McDonalds Cafe at Megaworld’s The Upper East, Bacolod City.

The show was held in celebration of Mother’s Day, a very special day dedicated to women.

“A mother is a woman whom God gave the ability to say yes to life to do what moms do best, to love unconditionally, which is the most beautiful act a mother can do,” a statement from the group said.

The exhibit was celebrated in a most special way with free face painting by the participating artists, along with outdoor open mic activities, old time music and poems dedicated to moms, sponsored by Megaworld.

A very special mom, Joygee Grace Osana, was picked from the crowd celebrating Mother’s Day at McDonalds – The Upper East, for the ribbon cutting to open the exhibit to the public. She was also given a token of handmade bouquet of flowers done by one of the artists, Patti Bendanillo.*
