District 8, represented by University of St. La Salle Bacolod, outclassed District 7’s Sum-ag Elementary School in the Bacolod City Division athletic meet, with an 8-0 scoreline during the finals held January 8, at Bacolod City National High School, securing the Provincial Athletic Meet elementary football spot.
“The all La Salle players, training program, has manifested its excellent result…on towards higher meets,” said USLS Head Coach John Moreno.
Opening goal was created from a right flank finish by Xavi Alfonso Aguilar, followed by Karl Nickolai Lopez and Chlyde Miraflores from the middle of the park. In the second half, Miraflores finished off a free kick, then Mikyle Francis Cole Lo secured a penalty shot to the far post.
With Sum-ag ES exhausted, John Patrick Arillo delivered the lucky seven and Toby Alingasa added the cherry with the eighth goal.
The City of Bacolod Elementary football team will be composed of Chlyde Miraflores, Mel Ythan Sun, Toby Alingasa, Zildjian Ledesma, Miguel Cañete, Daniel Francis Sentinar, Xavi Alfonso Aguilar, Ryuichi Khalil Fuentes, Karl Nickolai Lopez, Keane Anthony Agoncillo, Mikyle Francis Cole Lo, Ethan Avenger Azucena, Yuan Marcellana, John Patrick Arillo, Bobby Mallari Jr., Alexander Benjamin, Jaime Miguel Diopol, Patrick Joel Alvarez, with head coach John Moreno, assistant coaches Emmanuel Elloso, Romulo Cabahug, and goalkeeper coach Avenger Azucena Jr.*
