An ordinance standardizing fees for eight essential clinical laboratory tests at the Bacolod City Health Office, was passed on first reading by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod Wednesday.
Authored by Councilors Em Ang and Roberto Rojas, the proposed ordinance will be known as an “Ordinance Standardizing Fees for Eight Essential Clinical Laboratory Tests at the Bacolod City Health Office.”
It is the policy of the city government of Bacolod to ensure that essential health services are accessible, transparent, and affordable for all residents by fixing standard fees at the Bacolod City Health Office, below the prevailing market rates, it said.
The official, standardized rates for the following clinical laboratory examinations, tests, and analytes offered at the CHO are fixed and approved as follows: sodium – P125; potassium – P125; chloride – P135; SGPT – P185; SGOT – P150; OGTT – P345; FOB (Fecal Occult Blood) – P195; PAP smear – P245, the ordinance said.
The ordinance will take effect immediately upon approval and publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of Bacolod, it said.*
