• THERESA MAE DULMAN

A 56-year-old man was stabbed to death while dancing during a wedding eve celebration at Sitio Santo Santos, Barangay Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla, on Wednesday.

Authorities identified the victim as alias ‘Antonio,’ a resident of the barangay.

The suspect, identified as alias ‘Geri,’ a relative of the groom, reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident and remains at large.

Reports said the victim was participating in the traditional pre-wedding festivities when the suspect arrived, allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

Without provocation, the suspect reportedly drew a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim in the chest.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police authorities are currently conducting a manhunt operation to apprehend the suspect.

A conflict between the families of the victim and the suspect is being investigated as the motive behind the attack.*
