The oathtaking of the newly-elected provincial officials of Negros Occidental is set for June 25 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds in Bacolod City.

Eugenio Jose Lacson, now on his second term as governor of Negros Occidental, yesterday said that he will take his oath before San Carlos Regional Trial Court Judge Amy Alabado Avellano.

Also scheduled to their oath office are reelected Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer, Board Members Rommel Debulgado, Araceli Somosa, Samson Mirhan, Sixto Pal Guanzon Jr, Manuel Frederick Ko, Andrew Montelibano, Jose Maria Alonso, Andrew Martin Torres, Rita Gatuslao, Anton Occeño, Jeffrey Tubola and Valentino Miguel Alonso.

Asked if national officials were invited to the oathtaking rites, Lacson said there was none, stressing that they want to keep it simple.

Expected to attend the rites are the 32 mayors of Negros Occidental as well as the Negros Occidental solons, among other guests.*
