Lacson lauds NOCPPO support to mitigate Covid-19 ill effects

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday lauded the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office for its continued and unrelenting support in mitigating the ill effects of Covid-19 on Negrenses.

Lacson, who was the guest of honor and speaker at the 119th Police Service anniversary at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, expressed his appreciation for the selfless and courageous service of NOCPPO personnel, especially in the face of danger, as consequence of their was a law enforce.

He also said that the police work requires a great balancing act between law enforcement, preservation of liberty, public scrutiny, and the need for resilience that goes beyond the question of choice that has become a necessity.

“Thank you for your bravery and commitment to service,” Lacson, who led the awarding of plaques of merits to the 10 outstanding police stations in Negros Occidental, said.

POLICE LAUDED

Honored during the activity were Victorias City Police Station as top performer city police station in the campaign against illegal gambling, Silay City Police Station as top performer city in the campaign against illegal drugs, La Castellana Police Station – top performing municipal police station in the campaign against illegal drugs;

Bago City Police Station – top performing city police station against wanted persons; Kabankalan City Police Station – top performing city police station in the campaign against loose firearms; Isabela Police Station – top performing municipal police station in the campaign against loose firearms; and Manapla Police Station, top performer municipal police station in the campaign against illegal gambling.

Meanwhile, the La Carlota City Police Station and Hinigaran respectively topped the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating among city police and for municipal police stations, for the 1st semester.*
