Following the election of the new set of officers of three local government official organizations in Negros Occidental, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson called on them to espouse and practice “good governance”.
“Good governance is our contribution to nation building,” Lacson told officers of the League of Municipalities (LMP), Philippine Councilors League (PCL) and Negros Association of Chief Executives (ACE).
LMP-Negros Occidental and Vice Mayor’s League of the Philippines provincial chapter are respectively headed by Pulupandan Mayor Miguel Antonio Peña and Pulupandan Vice Mayor Gerald Suatengco, while Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez leads the Negros Association of Chief Executives.
La Carlota Councilor Julius Martin Asistio is expected to lead the Philippine Councilor’s League – Negros Occidental, being the common candidate of United Negros Alliance and Love Negros for the presidency.
Lacson reminded local government leaders that the “programs of the provincial government leads to good governance.”*
