LCC Grade 9 student shines in KL bowling tourney

In an electrifying display of talent and determination, Andrey Barbosa competed in the Under 15 category of the prestigious 24th Milo Storm U22 International Junior Open Bowling Championship in Sunway Mega Lanes, Malaysia, delivering a spectacular performance that will be remembered for years.

Andrey scored a stunning 747 pinfalls across a 3-game series, boasting an impressive average of 249 pinfalls per game. The remarkable feat propelled him from behind as he qualified for the Masters event, where he continued to showcase his skills.

Finishing 18th place overall, Andrey earned a well-deserved reward of a new bowling bag, a testament to his hard work and dedication. Andrey is a Grade 9 student of La Consolacion College in Bacolod City.

Accompanying Andrey on this journey was his father and mentor, Karl Barbosa. Their bond and shared passion for the sport were evident throughout the tournament, inspiring fellow competitors and spectators alike. Together, they exemplified incredible sportsmanship, making their country and STAI Bowler X immensely proud as his achievements highlight the bright future of youth bowling and underscore the importance of perseverance, family support, and love for the game.*
