Cases of leptospirosis in Bacolod City have decreased by 85.4 percent during the period of January 1 to June 29, records from the Bacolod City Health Office showed.
The CHO has recorded seven cases with zero deaths covering that period.
The barangays with recorded cases of leptospirosis are Pahanocoy, Felisa, Alijis, Punta-Taytay, Vista Alegre, Mansilingan, and Mandalagan with one case each.
Meanwhile, cases of dengue in Bacolod City have also decreased by 20.4 percent covering the same period.
The CHO has recorded 191 cases with zero deaths.
The barangays with the highest recorded cases of dengue are Taculing with 32 cases followed by Mansilingan – 12; Banago and Granada – 11 each; Tangub, Cabug, Alijis, Estefania and Mandalagan – 9 cases each; and Vista Alegre and Villamonte – 8 cases each.*
