The city government of San Carlos in Negros Occidental is offering livelihood assistance to overseas Filipino workers, who have been retrenched, or failed to return to work because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As much as P15,000 can be received by each qualified OFW, who should be a registered resident of San Carlos City, must not have received financial assistance under the Bayanihan Act 1 and 2, and must belong to the poor sector, the city announced on its Facebook page.
Applicants are advised to seek an appointment until today, through the Peso San Carlos, NegOcc FB, and walk-ins will not be accommodated to avoid mass gathering.
Applicants are advised to bring documents, such as passport, ticket, employment contract, and certificate of employment, among others. As of Jan. 27, San Carlos City had 10 active Covid cases.*
