A fisherman died after being hit by lightning in Sitio Roma, Brgy. Balaring, Silay City, Negros Occidental, while his two brothers and a nephew, survived, Saturday.
Ron Sabadisto, 44, was reported to have died on the spot. The survivors were identified as Stephen and Rodney Sabadisto, and their nephew Charlon Aristo.
Stephen said Ron was hit in the head, while Rodney and Charlon, who were in the water, were rendered unconscious by the lightning shockwave.
Rodney and Charlon were brought to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City by members of the Silay City Rescue Team.
Stephen said the incident took place while they were seeking shelter in a fish pen because of the bad weather.*
