The reigning Lin-ay sg Negros 2024 Kyle Rose Romarate was officially recognized as the first-ever Project C.A.R.E.S. RS10p “RTSIPp Ambassadress” during a ceremonial presentation at the Barangay Estefania gymnasium in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City Saturday.

She received a specially crafted trophy made by Tumandok Crafts Industries.

The veterinary student and reigning Victorias Sidlak Queen said that being an Ambassadress for Road Traffic Safety & Injury Prevention Program (RTSIPp) will be a challenge for her to initiate steps to reach more multi-sectoral stakeholders down to the grassroots communities, especially the youth sector to become more aware and be more responsive to the call to commit to act in making our streets safe to all.

Romarate in her speech, called for everyone to be part of the solution and to say “Yes” to the road traffic safety and injury prevention program, being now the Ambassadress for this volunteer NGO.

This year, Project C.A.R.E.S, as an NGO member of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety and the International Road Victims Partnership (both members of the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration) is embarking on a flagship program to the call to bring the Global Plan to local actions as proposed by the United Nations “Call to Action” which aims to lower by 50 percent by 2030, or zero road traffic crash deaths.

Project C.A.R.E.S., together with its Project CARES RS10p program partners at the local, national, and global levels are constantly reaching out to the youth sector to be involved as volunteers to support the advocacy that “Road Safety is No accident because accidents are preventable.”

A culmination rites of the Negros Kali International Association, Inc. also followed, where about 77 trainees graduated from Basic KALI Self Defense. Certificates were given to the successful trainees.

Present during the event were Bacolod City Councilor Claudio Jesus Raymundo Puentevella, Estefania Barangay Kaptain Jerry Tingson, SK Chairman Kiana Cordero, Bacolod Police Station 4 Chief P/Capt. Francis Depasucat, Chief of CCADU BCPO, P/Lt.Col Bonifacio Ancajas Jr. of BCPO, Chief of PWCPD P/Capt. Wilma Silva.
