The Laban Leni-Negros Occidental (LLNO) is organizing a big February 8 activity province-wide to support the nationwide launch of Vice President Leni Robredo’s campaign.

“We have grown immensely in numbers, and we believe that with three more months to go before the election, we will be able to make a dent in the numbers game and deliver votes for our candidates,” LLNO spokesperson Atty. Pinky Ocampo said.

The campaign for candidates aspiring for national positions is slated to kick off Feb. 8.

Presidential aspirant Leni Robredo and vice-presidential bet Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan will hold their proclamation rally for the first day of the campaign on Feb. 8 in Naga City.

Senatorial aspirants under their lineup, including Negrenses Alex Lacson and Neri Colmenares, are also invited.

On the other hand, the LLNO team held their first weekly “Palugaw ni Leni” for this year at Adela Market, Brgy. Mansilingan, in Bacolod City, yesterday.

Ocampo said they served over 400 beneficiaries with rice porridge, bread and gave out Vitamin D as well.

“This is our first for this year and our ‘Leni teams’ will be doing this again on a weekly basis all over the province,” Ocampo said, adding that their teams also “conduct teach-ins to inform the people about the candidates we support.”

“We’ve been doing this since last year but with Typhoon Odette, we concentrated our efforts in helping affected residents in southern Negros,” she added.

Ocampo also thanked Mansilingan Brgy. Captain Rodolfo Pico for his presence and for supporting the LLNO’s effort.*
