Pastor Allan Castigador of Barangay Estefania will hold a book launch on Friday at Apollo Restaurant, Bacolod City.
The book entitled, The Hunter and His Flock, is an autobiography of a pastor whose life has been transformed by the gospel of Jesus.
Struck by tragedy in 1968, his family moved to the wild rainforest in the mountains of Sitio Pataan in Bago City, Philippines where the young Allan Castigador hunted wild animals with his father for survival.
He quit schooling due to poverty but his life was revived and filled with hope after he encountered Jesus Christ as his Savior during a Baptist Evangelistic Crusade in 1979.
The Hunter and His Flock is a gripping and poignant narrative of a young man’s journey of faith; sacrifices to overcome poverty and achieve scholastic goals; facing death squarely in the dangerous places in parts of Mindanao, and starting a fruitful full-time ministry, all by God’s grace and mighty power.
Pastor Allan Castigador is currently the Senior Pastor of Fortune Towne Baptist Church in Bacolod City, where he accepted the call to work in 1992.
He is a father of three, while his wife, Marilou, is a master teacher at Ramonito Maravilla Sr. National High School.*
