The Negros Swifties Club are celebrating the engagement of their idol, singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, by organizing an event.
The party, which will be open to the public, will be on Friday, August 29, at the Moon Moon x Soleil Cafe, Bar, Kitchen, with the event featuring a compilation of all of Swift’s songs.
The event follows the official Instagram post on Tuesday, confirming the engagement of Swift and Kelce, in a playful nod to their respective professions, which read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
“We have compiled all of Taylor’s love songs for us to enjoy and cherish. So we are encouraging you to join this special event with us,” the group said.
The engagement comes after a whirlwind romance that began when Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs player, famously attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City in July 2023.
According to various reports, the engagement ring, an Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond, was co-designed by Kelce with jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
While the couple has not yet announced a wedding date, their engagement marks the blending of music and sports into a cultural phenomenon.
The news comes just as Swift teased her upcoming twelfth studio album titled “The Life of a Show Girl”.*
