Both the Love Negros and United Negros Alliance (UNega) have expressed their endorsement and rallied support for the Asenso Victoriahanon led by Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez during a recent Leaders Assembly held at the Victorias Coliseum in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson of Love Negros and Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer, UNegA president, House Minority Floor Leader Stephen Joseph Paduano and Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez took their turns in expressing their support for the mayoralty bid of Javi Benitez as chief executive of Victorias City, vice mayoralty bet Abelardo “Junb” Bantug III and his entire slate of councilor-aspirants, during the assembly on October 31.
Outgoing Victorias City Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca, Board Members Andrew Montelibano and Manuel Frederick Ko, as well as Juvy Pepello, who heads the provincial Liga ng mga Barangay, also expressed their support for the Asenso Victoriahanon team of Javi Benitez.
Palanca, who has filed his candidacy as second nominee for the Abang Lingkod Party-list, extolled the unity and solidarity of the Asenso party as he strongly rallied the leaders for support of the election aspirants from the provincial to the local level.
Javi Benitez who in April this year was chosen by the Asenso Leaders to be the mayoralty candidate, expressed thanks for the trust and confidence of the party leaders from all the 26 barangays of Victorias City, as he vowed a clean, efficient and inclusive governance anchored on transparent and participative public service.
Completing the Asenso Victoriahanon line-up for members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod are incumbent Councilors Virginia Adorio, Audie Malaga, Hermie Millan, Derek Palanca, Dexter Senido, Teresita Sta. Ana-Bartolome, Dielen Tornea-Hofileña; former City Administrator Dino Acuña; Nonoy de Asis, former chief of staff of Mayor Palanca and Punong Barangay Ulysis Tumimbang of Barangay 15A.*
