The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is currently investigating a potential love triangle and the involvement of drugs as the primary motives behind the killing of a man found in Barangay Pahanocoy on March 5.
The victim, identified by family members as alias Welton, a resident of Purok Roxas, Barangay Tangub was discovered in a vacant lot at Bangga Adam.
He was found shirtless and only wearing boxer shorts.
In a press briefing, BCPO Spokesperson Capt. Dax Santillan confirmed that authorities are currently focusing on at least two persons of interest in connection with the case.
Santillan said that one of the primary suspects is the ex-partner of the victim’s live-in partner.
While multiple leads were initially considered, investigators are now prioritizing the love triangle angle as a primary motive for the killing.
According to Santillan, the individuals being monitored are residents of Bacolod City.
Investigators are looking into the victim’s recent personal associations and potential conflicts arising from a dispute.*
