The Land Transportation Office-Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) recorded zero violations across multiple transport terminals after a series of synchronized inspections.
Under the ‘Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2026’ initiative, the agency reported full compliance with safety and registration standards.
The operations span the North and South Ceres Terminals in Bacolod, as well as facilities in Bais City, Dumaguete, and Siquijor.
At the south and north Bacolod Ceres terminals, 13 buses were inspected, while operations in Siquijor Port Terminal saw eight vehicles, including motorcycles and for-hire units, passing inspections.
In Bais City, a joint team inspected four vehicles, and the Dumaguete District Office cleared five motor vehicles at the Ceres Liner Terminal during their morning rounds.
As of press time, no Temporary Operator’s Permits have been issued.
The LTO-NIR confirmed in their official social media page that passenger volumes remain manageable and transport operations continue to be orderly and incident-free as the Holy Week and summer travel season begins.*
