A joint law enforcement operation conducted by the Land Transportation Office – Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) and the police resulted in 41 traffic violations recorded in Bacolod City.
The roadside inspections, which took place in Barangay Taculing and along Lacson Street on May 11-12, targeted non-compliance with Republic Act No. 4136, ‘No Registration, No Travel,’ and anti-colorum operations.
Among the logged offenses were unregistered vehicles, reckless driving, unlicensed driving, defective vehicle accessories, and failure to wear helmets and seatbelts.
Authorities confirmed that several motorcycles and vehicles were also impounded as a result of the infractions.
In a release, the agency reminded motorists to follow traffic laws and ensure their vehicles are roadworthy.*
