The Land Transportation Office–Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) has committed to a zero corruption environment, following the termination of job order personnel linked to illegal fixing activities.
In a statement, OIC Regional Director Jeck Conlu reaffirmed the agency’s stance on eliminating corruption, stating that appropriate sanctions will be imposed on any personnel involved in unlawful acts.
The recent dismissal of an erring employee follows a series of separate incidents that exposed the unauthorized handling of official transactions.
LTO-NIR said the crackdown aligns with the national policy set to cleanse the bureau of corrupt practices.
Conlu said that such activities will not be tolerated within the office as part of its effort to maintain the integrity of public service.
The agency also urged the public to transact only with authorized personnel or directly through official LTO offices to ensure all transactions are legal and legitimate.*
