Magikland in Silay City, Negros Occidental, the first outdoor theme park in Western Visayas, yesterday assured the public that it will continue to open all weekends of November, December this year and beyond, after its issuance of accreditation to operate as a tourism recreation center by the Department of Tourism.

This was confirmed by Jessric Naria, Magikland marketing manager, in response to queries on reports that the theme park will only operate until January next year.

Naria added that the Silay City government also issued a Certificate of Authority for Magikland to operate.

He added that both permits to re-open the outdoor theme park on Nov. 14 were issued after it closed down on March 15 due to the Covid-19 threat, and government directives were issued after Magikland underwent a series of inspection visits, and strict compliance with public health standards, imposed by the national, regional and provincial governments, that enforce and monitor health protocols.

Naria said the permits require the park to accommodate 50 percent of its operational capacity and stringent implementation of health measures to protect both park personnel and visitors.

Magikland is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, while changes in operating time in December will be announced.

Under the Magikland Balik Saya promo, the park entrance is P150 per person from P280 previously, and P520 per person for entrance and unlimited rides.*GPB
